FD-300 Herbal Respiratory Support Liquid: OEM Buyer Brief

Herbal respiratory products are a common request from brands selling to owners of senior pets and multi-pet households, but they are also the category where label wording most easily drifts into medical claims. This brief sets out what the FD-300 and FD-130 pages state, how the two differ, and what a buyer should confirm in writing before artwork.

What the FD-300 page lists

FD-300 sits in the BoCui 300 Series and is described as a herbal liquid emulsion for dogs and cats of all ages, with the health direction Respiratory Support. The ingredient list on the page is platycodon, polygala root, almond, licorice, ginseng, Luo Han Guo (monk fruit) and astragalus. Net content is 80 ml per bottle, usage is 1 ml per 4 kg body weight twice daily, mixed with feed or given directly, and shelf life is listed as 2 years.

The page does not publish an amount per ml for any ingredient, an extract ratio, or a specification sheet. Keep those fields marked as pending on your draft label until the factory confirms them.

FD-300 or FD-130

FD-130 is the Liquid Series option in the Respiratory Support range. The pages differ in four ways a buyer can check directly:

For a brand selling into markets with strict rules on honey or on specific botanicals, the ingredient difference may decide the choice before price does. The liquid formats guide explains what the solution and emulsion formats mean for handling and shaking instructions.

Days per bottle on the published usage line

The usage line works out to 0.5 ml per kilogram per day. A 4 kg cat uses 2 ml a day: 30 days from a 60 ml FD-130 bottle, 40 days from an 80 ml FD-300 bottle. An 8 kg dog uses 4 ml a day: 15 and 20 days. A 16 kg dog uses 8 ml a day: 7.5 and 10 days. This is arithmetic on the published dose, not feeding advice, but it shows both bottles suit cats and small dogs better than large breeds. The pack size guide covers how to plan around that.

Label wording to settle early

The product pages describe these formulas as nutrition for everyday respiratory comfort. Any wording on your pack that names a condition, or says the product treats, prevents or relieves something, is a regulatory question for your target market rather than a supplier fact. Settle the claim set with your own adviser before you request artwork, and keep the label consistent with the documents the factory will issue.

What to confirm in writing

Ask for the amount per ml of each listed ingredient, the botanical source and extract form, the basis of the 2-year shelf life, whether pack sizes other than 60 ml and 80 ml are available, and which documents ship with each batch. If you are also building a daily nutrition line, IM-300 and the wider Immune & Daily Nutrition range are the adjacent products to compare. The COA and specification sheet guide explains what those batch documents should contain.

Frequently asked questions by OEM buyers

What does the FD-300 page actually list?

FD-300 is listed in the BoCui 300 Series with the health direction Respiratory Support. Key ingredients are platycodon, polygala root, almond, licorice, ginseng, Luo Han Guo (monk fruit) and astragalus. Net content is 80 ml per bottle, usage is 1 ml per 4 kg body weight twice daily, mixed with feed or given directly, and shelf life is listed as 2 years.

How does FD-130 differ from FD-300?

FD-130 is in the Liquid Series and is described as an oral solution, while FD-300 is described as a liquid emulsion. FD-130 lists platycodon, polygala root, licorice, ginseng, almond and loquat honey; it does not list Luo Han Guo or astragalus, which appear on FD-300. FD-130 lists a 60 ml bottle; both pages list the same 1 ml per 4 kg twice-daily usage and a 2-year shelf life.

Does either page give ingredient amounts?

No. Both pages name the ingredients but do not publish amounts per ml, extract ratios or a specification sheet. Those must be obtained from the factory in writing before preparing a label or ingredient declaration.

Can the label say the product treats coughs or breathing problems?

This brief does not support that. LANDCE positions these products as nutrition for everyday respiratory comfort. Claims about treating or preventing any condition depend on the rules of your target market and should be reviewed by your own regulatory adviser before the artwork is finalised.
